Archived on 20/10/24: Today we are doing a multi-feature. Rather, I am forwarding this article by Panthera with lovely information and pictures of nine wild cats from Malaysia, including a rare picture of the Bay Cat (Catopuma badia), which you may remember from the last feature.

Archived on 13/10/23: Bay Cat - Catopuma badia. We know next to nothing about the Bay Cat. It lives on Borneo, and is about the size of a house cat with a long, long tail. Very handsome with that uniform, reddish coat. Its first recorded mention can be seen here. Well, Bay Cat, wherever you are: know that I love you.

Archived on 30/8/23: Today, we're talking Kodkod - leopardus guigna. Specifically, I want to bring you attention to the melanistic Kodkod (click around for more pictures). While the beautiful patterns of cats often make their shapes hard to grasp, the (for kodkod quite common) melanistic variants enable us to see it clearly. See how dense and almost bear-like our kodkod looks. Interesting!

Archived on 20/8/23: Leopardus colocolo - Pampas cat. The looks of this one varies a lot in pictures, I suspect this is due to different subspecies. Living in South America, it looks like a sentient tumbleweed. Check out more pictures here and here!

Archived on 20/8/23: Caracal aurata - African Golden Cat, surprisingly hard to find good pictures of this cat (often pictures claiming to be of it will be a different species, like Caracal caracal). But doesn't it look fantastic? A long legged Jaguarundi. Here's another
