7/1/26 On the names of the dogs: I do not name the dogs. The dogs have names already, and if I overhear these, I will know and use them. Local dogs include: Charlie, Bente, Tove, Buddha the Almighty. These are their names as human tied creatures. My relation exists inside of that.
On the names of the cats: I name the local cats if I am compelled, freely, with the knowledge that we are pretending. Some of them might have paper names; human tied names, but that is not part of our relation. Our relation exists outside of that.
Local cats named thus include: Kringel, Houdini, Spaghetti "Esteban Eduardo" Fandango, imsorry?, Paavli.
There is to the domesticated animal - rather the made human animal - a sticky soul. This is where the "name" attaches in the case of leashed dogs; in the case of humans known by humans. Perhaps every creature has the sticky soul, but the cat roaming the streets (even the dog roaming the streets, not human tied) is hydrophobic; a non absorbant material.
In meeting the roaming animal, you can choose to not be known, to be unnamed, or to be only named pretending, playing, being as the cat who roams, to recognize each other in a relation that is not human tied.
If I were to meet the local dogs without, we could perhaps recognize each other in this way. But it is hard to say with dogs.
